HOW IT WORKS
What is pet boarding?
Pet boarding through Yourgi means your pet stays overnight in a local Yourgi Pro’s home while you’re away. Instead of staying at a commercial pet resort or boarding facility, your pet receives care in a home environment.
Care varies by provider and may include scheduled meals, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication support, and other services based on your pet’s routine and the provider’s offerings.
Compare local providers by experience, household environment, reviews, availability, rates, and services offered.
WHAT IS PET BOARDING?
Pet boarding gives your pet a comfortable place to stay in a local pet care professional’s home while you travel or are away overnight. Yourgi helps you find local Yourgi Pros who offer boarding so you can compare providers and choose care that fits your pet’s needs.
Depending on the provider, your pet’s stay may include meals, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication support, and other personalized care. Each Yourgi Pro sets their own availability, services, home environment, and care options, so review the provider profile and discuss your pet’s routine before booking.
Unlike house sitting, where a Yourgi Pro cares for your pet in your own home, pet boarding means your pet stays in the provider’s home. This is also different from a pet resort, which is a commercial pet care facility rather than a provider’s home.
Is Pet Boarding Right for Your Pet?
Pet boarding may be a good fit when your pet is comfortable staying away from home and you want them cared for in a local provider’s home.
- Dogs or other eligible pets that adapt well to a new home environment
- Pets that benefit from personalized care and a familiar daily routine
- Pet parents looking for overnight care while traveling
- Pets whose feeding, exercise, medication, or care needs can be accommodated by the selected provider
- Pet parents who prefer a home-based alternative to a commercial boarding facility
If your pet is more comfortable remaining in its own home, consider house sitting, where a Yourgi Pro comes to your home to provide care instead.
